The 2nd Policy Planning Dialogue between India and Vietnam was held in Hanoi on 8 May 2023. The India delegation was headed by Dr. Sumith Seth, Joint Secretary (PP&R), Ministry of External Affairs while the Vietnamese delegation was led by Dr. Le Dinh Tinh, Director General, Department of Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two sides had productive exchange of views and perspectives on respective foreign policy priorities, regional and global issues. The India delegation also called on Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Do Hung Viet and met with Vice-President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Mr. Duong Trung Y, Acting President of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) Ms. Pham Lan Dung and also had an interactive session with scholars of Vietnam Indian and Southwest Asian Studies (VIISAS).
