Extension of the deadline for submission of ICCR Scholarship applications to 20/02/2019 ||| SCHOLARSHIPS FOR POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE 2019 ||| Use of Thuraya/Irridium Satellite phones is banned in India. Unauthorised use of such phones will lead of confiscation of the same and will attract prosecution as per relevant laws governing use of satellite phones in India. Visitors are advised not to carry/use satellite phones during their visit to India.

  • The 70th Republic Day was celebrated at the Embassy of India, Hanoi on 26th January, 2019. Around 150 members of there Indian community, friends of India and the members of Embassy and their families took part in this celebration. Ambassador P. Harish unfurled the tricolour and read out the message of Rashtrapatiji, which was followed by cultural programme and light refreshments.

  • National Voters Day (NVD) is celebrated every year on 25 January to abide faith in democracy to uphold the democratic traditions of India and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement. Ambassador P. Harish administered the National Voters Day pledge to the officers/officials of the Embassy.

  • Embassy of India, Hanoi along with Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM) Hanoi organised a business get together as well as TET Reception on 24th January, 2019. 

  • Ambassador P. Harish met the team of Archaeological Survey of India which is in Vietnam for the third season of conservation and restoration work of the A, K and H group of temples at the UNESCO World Heritage site of My Son in Vietnam.

  • The ministerial session of the 4th meeting of the India-Vietnam Joint Sub-Commission on Trade was held in Hanoi on 23 January 2019 in Hanoi. The two delegations were led by Indian Commerce Secretary Dr Anup Wadhawan and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Cao Quoc Hung, and reviewed all aspects of trade and investments, and discussed measures to strengthen bilateral economic engagement.

  • Ambassador P. Harish hosted a dinner for the visiting Commerce Secretary Dr. Anup Wadhawan and accompanying delegation to the 4th meeting of the India-Vietnam Joint Sub-Commission on Trade on 22 January 2019.

  • Commerce Secretary Dr Anup Wadhawan was on a visit to Vietnam leading the Indian delegation to the 4th meeting of the India-Vietnam Joint Sub-Commission on Trade from 22-23 January 2019. During this visit, the Embassy organised an interaction with members of the Indian Business Chamber INCHAM of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. 

  • Ambassador P. Harish called on Mr. Truong Quang Nghia, Secretary of the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee and Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. They discussed means of strengthening the close cooperation between India and Da Nang.

  • Ambassador P. Harish called on Mr. Phan Viet Cuong, Party Secretary of Quang Nam Province, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and Vice Chairman of the India Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National Assembly of Vietnam. They discussed means of further strengthening the close cooperation between India and Quang Nam Province.

  • भारतीय राजदूतावास, हनोई ने १९ जनवरी २०१९ को विश्व हिंदी दिवस का आयोजन किया।
    Embassy of India, Hanoi organised Vishwa Hindi Diwas (World Hindi Day) on 19th January, 2019.
