Use of Thuraya/Irridium Satellite phones is banned in India. Unauthorised use of such phones will lead of confiscation of the same and will attract prosecution as per relevant laws governing use of satellite phones in India. Visitors are advised not to carry/use satellite phones during their visit to India.
Ấn Độ cấm sử dụng điện thoại vệ tinh Thuraya/Irridium. Người sử dụng trái phép loại điện thoại này sẽ bị tịch thu điện thoại và khởi tố theo luật pháp liên quan đến việc sử dụng điện thoại vệ tinh tại Ấn Độ. Vì vậy, du khách khi đến thăm Ấn Độ không nên mang theo hay sử dụng điện thoại vệ tinh.
  • A group of students from IIM Bangalore is on a study tour to Vietnam from 3-8 December 2018. Ambassador P. Harish met and addressed them at the Embassy.

  • Ambassador P. Harish participated in a function of awarding the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister of Vietnam to ONGC VIDESH LIMITED for its dedication for development of Oil and Gas sector of Vietnam in a positive manner and effectively contributing to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and India. The function also welcomed the First Gas from Phong Lan Dai field and 16 years of safe operations in Block 06.1 operated by Rosneft with OVL and PetroVietnam.

  • A delegation of NCC cadets is visiting Vietnam from 28 November to 06 December 2018. Ambassador P. Harish met and addressed the NCC delegation at the Embassy.

  • General Bipin Rawat visited the Memorial House of General Vo Nguyen Giap and met his family members in Hanoi on 23 November 2018.

  • Ambassador P. Harish accompanied Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat and his accompanying delegation for a call on General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Defence Minister of Vietnam on 23 November, 2018. The Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat is on an official visit to Vietnam during 22-25 November 2018.

  • Ambassador P. Harish and Smt. P. Nandita hosted a dinner in honour of Chief of Army Staff Gen. Bipin Rawat and Smt. Madhulika Rawat and accompanying delegation who are on an official visit to Vietnam.

  • On completion of the successful State Visit, Rashtraptiji departed Hanoi on 20th November, 2018. He was seen off at the Airport by Mr. Dao Viet Trung, Chairman of the President’s Office, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mr. P. Harish and Mrs. Harish and Ambassador of Vietnam to India Mr. Pham Sanh Chau.

  • During the State Visit of Rashtrapatiji to Vietnam from 18-20 November, 2018, Rashtrapatiji and Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, President of Vietnam, accompanied by their respective delegations, held bilateral level talks at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on 20th November, 2018.

  • During the State Visit of Rashtrapatiji to Vietnam from 18-20 November, 2018, Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President of Vietnam and First Lady of Vietnam hosted a banquet in hounour of Rashtrapatiji at the International Convention Centre, Hanoi. The programme included a cultural performance. 

  • Rashtrapatiji and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Vietnam held talks at the Government House in Hanoi on 20th November, 2018 during the State Visit of Rashtrapatiji to Vietnam from 18-20 November, 2018.
