Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Fellowship for Music

Pandit Bhimsen Joshi was a legendary Indian classical vocalist and one of the greatest artists of his generation. He was the flagbearer of Hindustani classical music by bringing it closer to a common man. The illustrious life of Pandit Ji is an inspiration for many generations in classical music to come.

In his memory, ICCR has initiated a “Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Fellowship for Music” which will be available to foreign musicians/artists/scholars to do research in the field of music. Under this programme, the selected Fellow is affiliated, on the basis of mutual consent, to an academic/cultural institution in India. Fellowships are for eminent musicians/artists/scholars with proven knowledge in the field of music with at least 10 years of practical/research experience and should be above the age of 35 years on the date of application.

Học bổng Pandit Bhimsen Joshi về âm nhạc

Pandit Bhimsen Joshi là một giọng ca cổ điển huyền thoại của Ấn Độ và là một trong những nghệ sĩ vĩ đại nhất thuộc thế hệ của ông. Ông là người đi đầu trong nền âm nhạc cổ điển Hindustani bằng việc đưa nó đến gần hơn với khán giả bình dân. Cuộc đời lừng lẫy của Pandit Ji là nguồn cảm hứng cho nhiều thế hệ thuộc giới âm nhạc cổ điển sau này.

Để tưởng nhớ ông, Hội đồng Quan hệ Văn hóa Ấn Độ (ICCR) đã khởi xướng “Học bổng Pandit Bhimsen Joshi về Âm nhạc” dành cho các nhạc sĩ/nghệ sĩ/học giả người nước ngoài nghiên cứu trong lĩnh vực âm nhạc. Trong chương trình học bổng này, trên cơ sở đồng thuận các bên, ứng viên được lựa chọn sẽ được kết nối với một tổ chức văn hóa/học thuật ở Ấn Độ. Học bổng này dành cho các nhạc sĩ/nghệ sĩ/học giả tiêu biểu với kiến thức dày dặn trong lĩnh vực âm nhạc, phải có ít nhất 10 năm kinh nghiệm thực tế/nghiên cứu và phải trên 35 tuổi khi nộp đơn.
