About Us International scientific conference: "Vietnam - India comprehensive strategic partnership: Achievements and prospects"

(LLCT) - On December 22, 2023, in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics coordinated with the Indian Embassy in Vietnam to organize an international scientific conference: "Warfare partnership Vietnam - India comprehensive strategy: Achievements and prospects".

The conference had 2 plenary sessions.

The first session with the topic "New developments in Vietnam and India", chaired by Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Vietnam; Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Van Nghia, Director of the Department of International Cooperation.

The second session with the topic "Towards new horizons in economic and trade relations between Vietnam and India", chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Trung Y, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Vietnam; Dr. Dao Ngoc Bau, Acting Director of the Institute of International Relations.

Attending the Conference were representatives of international agencies, organizations, scholars, experts and scientists from India and Vietnam.

Speaking at the conference, Professor and Dr. Le Van Loi affirmed: The Vietnam - India relationship was laid with a solid foundation by President Ho Chi Minh and Indian Prime Minister Nehru, supported by the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong. assessed as "as clear as the sky without a single cloud". The friendly relationship between Vietnam and India is built on the basis of attachment and similarities in culture and history. India has always been a reliable partner and supported Vietnam in international issues, creating conditions for multilateral cooperation between the two countries in many aspects, aiming for the common goal of peace and prosperous development.

Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi emphasized that currently, the world and regional situation has many complex changes, so that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India is more closely linked, it is necessary to continue continue to strengthen cooperation and share experiences and practices in many fields of science and technology; educations; defence security; trade cooperation and industrial development; promote Indo-Pacific cooperation on the basis of "strategic trust"... On the basis of achievements in cooperation and development, solidarity, strong and long-standing friendship between the two countries, Vietnam and India relations will continuously develop, meeting the requirements of the new context and the expectations of the Governments and people of the two countries.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Sandeep Arya emphasized: Over the past seven decades, the international context has undergone many changes. However, one thing remains unchanged: the steadfastness and consistency of the deep friendship and strong cooperation between India and Vietnam.

According to Mr. Sandeep Arya, the comprehensive strategic partnership of Vietnam - India is expressed in many fields such as politics, economic cooperation, trade, defense - security, tourism, culture,... In the coming time, a number of areas need to be focused so that Vietnam and India have more exchanges and cooperation to share practices and experiences to develop together, such as: national digital transformation; launch 6G telecommunications vision projects; self-reliance in the fields of defense, security,...

At the Conference, experts and scientists from Vietnam and India focused on clarifying the achievements that the two countries have achieved in the "Vietnam - India comprehensive strategic partnership", and at the same time. time, share, discuss and explore new opportunities and prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the coming time. Thereby, contributing to consolidating and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India in the future.

Speaking at the closing of the Workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Trung Y highly appreciated the presentations of scientists and scholars from India and Vietnam, which highlighted the progress and development of the two countries.
