[08-11 October 2023] 45th Edition of the India Carpet Expo

The Embassy of India in Vietnam has the honour to inform that the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), an apex body  set up by the Ministry of Textiles for the promotion of Handmade Carpets and other floor coverings, is organizing the 45th Edition of the India Carpet Expo from 08 - 11 October 2023 at “Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart” at Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh (India) under the aegis of the Government of India.

The Embassy has the further honour to inform that Bhadohi District, known by the name ‘Carpet City’, is home to the largest hand-knotted carpet weaving industry hubs in South Asia and is visited by a  large number of buyers from domestic and overseas markets. In addition, the Expo has attained the status of Asia’s largest handmade Carpet Fair since its first introduction in 2000. It is a biannual fair that attracts hundreds of buyers of Handmade carpets, rugs, and other floor coverings from more than 60 countries of the world. More than 200 Exhibitors represent carpet-producing areas like Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Varanasi,  Agra, Jaipur, Panipat, and Srinagar, etc., and exhibit their wide range and varieties of handmade carpets, rugs, and other floor-coverings in the Expo. The Embassy has the honour to inform that the organizer is offering complimentary package for selected Overseas Buyers of Handmade Carpets/Rugs, etc. under the aegis of the Government of India, including Reimbursement towards Airfare, as a Subsidy of up to US$ 600, Complimentary Hotel accommodation for up to  2 nights (breakfast included) in Varanasi between 7th October to 11th October, 2023, and Shuttle service from Hotel to Fair Venue and vice versa during the Exhibition period.
