India@75: Trade Promotion Webinar for Spices

As part of our trade promotion efforts, the Embassy, in partnership with the Spices Board India and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, organized a spice trade promotion webinar and buyer-seller meet on 23 February 2022.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Pranay Verma highlighted the resilience of bilateral trade between India and Vietnam, which is reported to have crossed US $13 billion in 2021 despite the disruptions of COVID-19 pandemic. He identified existing and new potentials in Vietnam for Indian spice exporters. Ambassador suggested that Vietnamese companies should take advantage of the online platform spicexchangeindia.com created by Spices Board, India for connecting with Indian stakeholders and partners.

More than 100 companies engaged in spices trade from India and Vietnam participated in the webinar.

Đại sứ quán Ấn Độ phối hợp với Uỷ ban Gia vị Ấn Độ và Cục Xúc tiến Thương mại Việt Nam tổ chức hội thảo trực tuyến về xúc tiến thương mại trong lĩnh vực gia vị và gặp gỡ doanh nghiệp vào ngày 23 tháng 2 năm 2022.

Trong bài phát biểu khai mạc, Đại sứ Pranay Verma nhấn mạnh khả năng phục hồi của thương mại song phương giữa Ấn Độ và Việt Nam, được cho là đã đạt 13 tỷ USD vào năm 2021, bất chấp sự gián đoạn của đại dịch COVID-19. Đại sứ đã xác định những tiềm năng hiện có và tiềm năng mới ở Việt Nam đối với các nhà xuất khẩu gia vị của Ấn Độ. Đại sứ cũng đề nghị các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam nên tận dụng nền tảng trực tuyến spiceexchangeindia.com do Ủy ban Gia vị Ấn Độ tạo ra để kết nối với các bên liên quan và đối tác của Ấn Độ.

Hơn 100 công ty kinh doanh gia vị từ Ấn Độ và Việt Nam đã tham gia hội thảo trực tuyến này.
