Embassy of India celebrated the
#NationalTourismDay of India on 25 January 2022 by hosting a webinar on India-Vietnam Tourism Promotion in partnership with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (VNAT) and the India Tourism Office in Singapore. The online event was joined by several Vietnamese tour operators as well as alumni of Indian ICCR scholarships in Vietnam.
In his keynote address, Ambassador Pranay Verma noted the importance of post-pandemic revival of tourism sector in both India and Vietnam and highlighted a number of recent steps to make tourism in India more convenient and enjoyable for foreign tourists. Ambassador also highlighted tourism attractions in India for Vietnamese visitors, including our shared Buddhist heritage. The India Tourism office in Singapore made a presentation on tourist destinations of India. Several ICCR alumni and officials of Tourism Association of Vietnam made useful suggestions to attract Vietnamese tourists to India, particularly the youth.

Đại sứ quán Ấn Độ đã tổ chức Lễ kỷ niệm Ngày Du lịch Quốc gia Ấn Độ vào ngày 25 tháng 1 năm 2022 bằng cách tổ chức hội thảo trực tuyến về Xúc tiến Du lịch Ấn Độ-Việt Nam với sự hợp tác của Tổng cục Du lịch Việt Nam (VNAT) và Văn phòng Du lịch Ấn Độ tại Singapore. Sự kiện trực tuyến có sự tham gia của một số công ty lữ hành Việt Nam cũng như các cựu sinh viên nhận học bổng ICCR của Ấn Độ tại Việt Nam.
Trong bài phát biểu của mình, Đại sứ Pranay Verma lưu ý tầm quan trọng của việc hồi sinh ngành du lịch sau đại dịch ở cả Ấn Độ và Việt Nam, đồng thời nhấn mạnh một số bước gần đây nhằm làm cho du lịch ở Ấn Độ trở nên thuận tiện và thú vị hơn đối với du khách nước ngoài. Đại sứ cũng nhấn mạnh các điểm du lịch ở Ấn Độ đối với du khách Việt Nam, bao gồm di sản Phật giáo chung. Văn phòng Du lịch Ấn Độ tại Singapore đã có bài thuyết trình về các địa điểm du lịch của Ấn Độ. Một số cựu sinh viên ICCR và các lãnh đạo của Hiệp hội Du lịch Việt Nam đã đưa ra những đề xuất hữu ích để thu hút khách du lịch Việt Nam đến Ấn Độ, đặc biệt là giới trẻ.
