The Embassy of India in Vietnam has the honour to inform that Invest India - the National Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency of the Government of India - is organizing the Virtual National Handloom Day Celebration from 15:30-17:15 (Vietnam Time)/ 14:00–15:45hrs (IST) on 7th August 2021. 

The objective of the event is to celebrate and honour the Indian handloom weavers and artisans and to showcase the capabilities of India's Handloom sector in the North East Region. Handloom sector has the pride of being India’s 2nd largest employment generator, and the North East Region has a tradition of handloom that dates back to centuries and forms a vital part of the generational legacy which exemplifies the richness and diversity of the country and the artistry of the weavers. The rich variety of traditional designs and motifs that the looms of the North East have been producing over the years have poised the region as the biggest contributor to the handloom sector. [07 tháng 08 năm 2021] Ngày Dệt may Quốc gia Ấn Độ trực tuyến

Đại sứ quán Ấn Độ tại Việt Nam trân trọng thông báo: Invest India - Cơ quan Hỗ trợ và Xúc tiến Đầu tư Quốc gia của Chính phủ Ấn Độ - dự kiến tổ chức Lễ kỷ niệm Ngày Dệt may Quốc gia trực tuyến từ 15h30-17h15 (Giờ Việt Nam) / 14h00–15h45 (Giờ Ấn Độ) vào ngày 7 tháng 8 năm 2021.

Mục tiêu của sự kiện là nhằm kỷ niệm và tôn vinh các thợ dệt và nghệ nhân dệt khung cửi của Ấn Độ và giới thiệu tiềm năng của lĩnh vực dệt khung cửi của miền Đông Bắc nước này. Lĩnh vực dệt khung cửi của Ấn Độ tự hào là lĩnh vực tạo ra việc làm lớn thứ 2 của Ấn Độ, và Khu vực Đông Bắc Ấn mang đậm truyền thống dệt cửi có ​​từ nhiều thế kỷ nay và đóng góp một phần quan trọng của di sản thế hệ, minh chứng cho sự phong phú và đa dạng của đất nước Ấn Độ cũng như nghệ thuật của những người thợ dệt. Sự đa dạng phong phú về kiểu dáng và họa tiết truyền thống mà khung dệt miền Đông Bắc Ấn đã sản xuất trong những năm qua đã khiến khu vực này trở thành nơi đóng góp lớn nhất cho ngành dệt thủ công.
