Indian Naval Ships visit Danang

Three Indian Naval Ships, the INS Sahyadri, INS Shakti and INS Kamorta, are on a goodwill visit to Vietnam during 21-25 May 2018. They arrived at the Tien Sa Port, Danang on 21 May 2018. Ambassador P. Harish and Mrs. P. Nandita visited the Indian Naval Ships and met the officers and sailors on board. Ambassador Harish later spoke at a Reception held on board INS Shakti along with Rear Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi. Mr. Tran Van Mien, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Danang, Rear Admiral Do Quoc Viet, Commander of Naval Region 3, officials of the Vietnam People’s Navy, Vietnam Border Guard, the diplomatic corps, government officials of Vietnam etc. and around 150 guests attended the Reception. The naval delegation called on the Vice Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee and the Commander of Vietnam’s Naval Region 3 on 21 May 2018. They participated in a cultural visit to My Son Temple and Hoi An on 22-24 May 2018 and are scheduled to participate in bilateral maritime exercise with the Vietnam People’s Navy before departure on 25 May 2018.
