On 28 November, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi undertook a three city tour to conduct extensive review of the vaccine development and manufacturing process. He visited Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune.
PM Modi had a good interaction with the team at Serum Institute of India, Pune. They shared details about their progress so far on how they plan to further ramp up vaccine manufacturing. PM also took a look at their manufacturing facility.
Next month, Ambassadors of 100 countries are scheduled to visit Pune on December 4, they will visit Serum Institute of India and Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Limited.
