Celebration of Constitution Day of India

Embassy of India, Hanoi celebrated the Constitution Day of India on 26 November to commemorate the 70th year of adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly. Ambassador of India to Vietnam, Pranay Verma, in his address on this occasion, highlighted the importance of the Constitution in India’s developmental journey as an independent country and its transformation as a strong modern nation.

 

Director General of the Vietnam Institute of Indian and Southwest Asian Studies at the Vietnam Academy of Social Science,Dr. Nguyen Xuan Trung, and Chairwoman of Vietnam-India Friendship Association, Madam Phan Lan Tu also spoke on the occasion.

 

Two documentaries on the Indian Constitution “Making of Indian Constitution” was screened to showcase the evolution of the Constitution and its basic features. A Photo Exhibition on the Indian Constitution was also displayed.

 

Members of Indian Community in Hanoi; Members of Vietnam-India Friendship Society; Senior officials of Communist Party of Vietnam; Academics; and Members of local media attended the event organized at the Chancery premises.
