Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni visited one of the largest pagodas in Vietnam, and indeed in Asia, the Bai Dinh Pagoda spiritual and cultural complex in Ninh Binh Province on 19 November 2017. He was welcomed by Chairman Nguyen Van Truong of the Xuan Truong Company who is the patron of the Pagoda and Ambassador Vu Quang Diem, former Ambassador of Vietnam to India. Many of the sculptures and other exhibits of the pagoda were sculpted in India by Indian artisans and sculptors. Descriptions of Lord Buddha's life in Sanskrit can also be found at the Pagoda.
