On the occasion of State Visit of Rashtrapatiji to Vietnam, Embassy of India, Hanoi organized a Reception on 19th November, 2018 at the Intercontinental Hotel, where Rashtrapatiji addressed the Indian Community and Friends of India from Vietnam. Representatives of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Ho Chi Minh Academy of Politics, Vietnam India Friendship Association (VIFA), Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and prominent members of the Indian Community attended the event. Minister of State Shri Anantkumar Hegde and Members of Parliament Dr. Heena Gavit and Shri Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and accompanying delegation members also attended the event. Ambassador P. Harish welcomed Rashtrapatiji at the Reception and addressed the gathering. The program featured cultural performances by the members of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha, students of USSH and spouses from the Embassy of India, Hanoi. Rashtrapatiji addressed the gathering and highlighted Government of India’s priority to reach out to Indian community abroad so that no one in need is left unattended. He called on India and Vietnam to come together to help each other grow and prosper guided by the wisdom of the Mekong and the Ganga.
