On the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi a Special Commemorative Function was organized by Embassy on 02 October 2018 at Melia Hanoi Hotel. The Programme was followed by Lighting of lamp and paying of floral tribute to the photo of Gandhiji by Ambassador P. Harish and distinguished guests. Ambassador P. Harish gave the opening remarks on the life of Gandhiji, which was followed by a Keynote Address by H.E. Mr. Dang Nguyen Anh, Vice President of VASS, Special Address by H.E. Mr. Nguyen Van Thao, Asst. Minister for Foreign Affairs, “Satya Vaarta” a special address by Most Ven. Thich Duc Thien on how the message of Gandhiji has influenced his life, Screening of Video Presentation on relevance of Gandhiji in Contemporary World, Release of Commemorative Stamps on Mahatma Gandhi, Screening of “Vaishnav Jan Te” video and rendition of “Sabarmati ke Santh” by students of USSH.
