Visit of Minister for Finance, Urban Development & Urban Housing,
Government of Gujarat to Viet Nam

Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon'ble Minister for Finance, Urban Development & Urban Housing, Government of Gujarat met H.E. Le Tan Can, Deputy Minister of Finance in Hanoi, today.

Minister Desai briefed DFM Can on the massive industrial growth made by Gujarat across domains including in semiconductors. He welcomed new areas of collaboration and investment between Gujarat and Viet Nam. Minister Desai referred to the MoU signed between GIFT City and Viet Nam International Financial Centre at Da Nang City and the vast potential for mutual collaboration.

Minister Desai referred to the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi who as the then Chief Minister of Gujarat had started the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in 2003. The Minister briefed the Vietnamese side on the forthcoming 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to be held in January 2027 in Gujarat. He invited Viet Nam as a Partner Country with a high-level participation.
