In order to promote digital transformation and facilitate foreign nationals entering Viet Nam, the Immigration Department is piloting the “Pre-arrival Information (PAI)” system.

The pilot implementation of the PAI system enables foreign nationals to proactively declare information prior to entering Viet Nam, thereby reducing processing time, optimizing procedures, and enhancing the experience upon entry and stay in Viet Nam. Currently, the Immigration Department is conducting the pilot programme at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and will gradually expand it to Noi Bai, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc International Airports on a voluntary basis.
