[08-09 October 2026] Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) at Shillong, Meghalaya

This is to inform that the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) is organizing a Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) at Shillong, Meghalaya from 08-09 October, 2026. 

‘FIEO’ serves as the apex body representing Government-recognized Export Promotion Councils, Commodity Boards, and Export Development Authorities in India. Established in 1965 by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, FIEO was created to unify and channel the efforts of all stakeholders dedicated to promoting India’s international trade. FIEO acts as a vital interface between India’s international trading community and key entities such as the Central and State Governments, financial institutions, ports, railways, surface transport, and all stakeholders involved in export trade facilitation. FIEO directly and indirectly supports the interests of over 200,000 exporters across all industries and services sectors nationwide. 

Meghalaya State is expanding its global footprint by exporting indigenous handlooms, ethical textiles, and organic agricultural commodities. The state has a strong base of high-value agricultural and horticultural products such as Lakadong turmeric, Khasi mandarin, pineapple, ginger, honey, black pepper, areca nut, jackfruit and strawberries, many of which have distinctive quality and geographical identity. Meanwhile, the handloom and handicrafts of Meghalaya have several GI-protected textile and craft products representing indigenous designs, traditional skills, natural fibers and sustainable production practices, which align well with premium international markets.

The Reverse Buyer Seller Meet will be attended by 500+ Indian Sellers/Exporters. Sector/ Product categories of the RBSM include: Cane & Bamboo Handicrafts, Water Hyacinth Products, Wood Carving, Stone Carving, Handloom Items, Honey, Food Processing, Black Pottery. The objectives of the RBSM are as follows: 

1. The RBSM will focus on connecting registered Indian MSMEs with selected buyers.
2. Gain an in-depth knowledge of the specific market requirements to import from India.
3. Attend one-to-one business and networking meetings with potential sellers.
4. Explore business partnerships, sourcing opportunities, and long-term collaborations.

  As a selected international buyer when participating in the RBSM, the delegate will be eligible for the following benefits:
