India – Vietnam Defence Cooperation

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Air Staff, commenced his three-day official visit to Vietnam today.

Upon arrival in Hanoi and prior to the official engagements, Ambassador Tshering W. Sherpa met the Air Chief and briefed on the evolving India–Vietnam bilateral relationship.

The Air Chief was accorded a ceremonial welcome by the Air Defence–Air Force Service, Vietnam People’s Army, followed by bilateral talks with Lt. Gen. Vu Hong Son, Commander, Air Defence–Air Force Service.

The discussions reviewed ongoing defence cooperation and explored new avenues for strengthening the existing bilateral partnership. The visit reflects the shared commitment of both sides to further deepen the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
