Seva Pakhwada - Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

As part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada, the Embassy of India in Hanoi organized a tree plantation drive under the #Ek_Ped_Maa_Ke_Naam (A Tree in the Name of Mother) campaign on 02 October 2026.
Ambassador Tshering W. Sherpa and Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice President of National Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) planted Bamboo saplings at the Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ninh Binh. A total of 900 bamboo saplings are being planted in today's drive at the Pagoda, also symbolizing the special significance of bamboo in the Vietnamese society.
Embassy members, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) partners, Tam Chuc Pagoda colleagues and Friends of India participated in the drive.
