The inaugural India - Viet Nam Consular Dialogue was held in Hanoi, co-chaired by Mr. Binoy George, Joint Secretary (CPV), MEA, India and Mr. Doan Hoang Minh, DG of Consular Department, MOFA of Viet Nam with the participation of officials from relevant authorities.

The two sides exchanged views on a wide range of consular issues, including visa and immigration procedures, protection of citizens and cooperation in addressing consular cases.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of consular cooperation as a key pillar in promoting people-to-people exchanges and deepening bilateral relations.

The Dialogue concluded with both sides expressing their commitment to maintaining regular consultations and strengthening cooperation in consular affairs.
