A delegation from Agra Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Chamber (AFMEC), India, visited Hanoi today to explore business opportunities in the footwear, leather and allied industries.

 The AFMEC delegation had meetings with Industry Development Centre under Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO), and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

 The delegation also met Ambassador Tshering W Sherpa, who gave an overview of India-Vietnam robust relations, including opportunities in the footwear, leather and components domains.

 The discussions focused on fostering B2B partnerships, investment opportunities, supply chain collaboration, and industry-to-industry cooperation.

 The visit reflects the growing momentum in India–Vietnam economic cooperation and reinforces the commitment of both countries to deepen trade and commercial ties in the manufacturing sector.

 The delegation proceeded to Ho Chi Minh City for further engagements with Vietnamese industry players and to participate in the 26th International Shoes & Leather Exhibition (8-10 July 2026), etc.
