Launch of International Day of Yoga 2022 at Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam Province (29 May 2022)

The Embassy partnered with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to launch the International Day of Yoga celebrations this year with a Yoga session organized on 29 May at the picturesque Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam province of Vietnam.

The event showcased the deep connection between India and Vietnam built upon their shared Buddhist heritage and the immense popularity of Yoga in both countries.

Đại sứ quán đã phối hợp với Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam tổ chức Ngày Quốc tế Yoga năm nay bằng buổi tập Yoga được tổ chức vào ngày 29 tháng 5 tại chùa Tam Chúc, tỉnh Hà Nam, Việt Nam. Sự kiện đã thể hiện mối quan hệ sâu sắc giữa Ấn Độ và Việt Nam được xây dựng dựa trên di sản Phật giáo chung hai nước và sự phổ biến rộng rãi của Yoga ở cả hai quốc gia.






















International Day of Yoga of 2022 at the Yen So Park in Hanoi (5 June 2022)

Hanoi Yoga Federation, in partnership with the Embassy of India and the Vietnam Yoga Federation, celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 5 June 2022 at the Yen So Park in Hanoi, with nearly a thousand Yoga practitioners, including children with special needs, participating.












International Day of Yoga 2022 in Da Nang City (11-12 June 2022)

The International Yoga Festival marking the 8th International day of Yoga was organized at Bien Dong (East Sea) Park, Son Tra district, Da Nang from 11-12 June 2022 by the Embassy of India in collaboration with the Da Nang city, Viet Nam - India Friendship Association and Da Nang Union of Friendship Organization.The event was also part of the series of events commemorating the 75th anniversary of India's Independence as #AzadikaAmritMahotsav and the 50th anniversary of India-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations. More than 1500 Yoga lovers participated and practiced yoga in the event.

Ngày quốc tế Yoga lần thứ 8 được tổ chức tại Công viên Biển Đông, quận Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng từ 11-12/6/2022 dưới sự hợp tác của Đại sứ quán Ấn Độ và Hội Liên hiệp các Tổ chức Hữu nghị thành phố Đà Nẵng, Việt Nam. International Day of Yoga 2022 in Thanh Hoa City (11 June 2022)

Embassy in partnership with Thành Hoa People’s Committee and the Vietnam Yoga Federation celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga in Thanh Hoa City on 11 June with the participation of more than 300 professional yoga practitioners demonstrating the rising popularity of Yoga in Vietnam. The event was celebrated along with Indian cultural performances, screening of Indian films as well as photo-exhibition on India-Vietnam relations to mark the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations and the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

As part of our on-going events to mark the #InternationalDayOfYoga in Vietnam, the Embassy of India organized the #IDY2022 celebrations on 18 June 2022 at Hanoi’s famed Ly Thai To Park overlooking the Hoan Kiem lake.

International Day of Yoga 2022 in Vinh Phuc Province (18 June 2022)

As part of our on-going events to mark the #InternationalDayOfYoga in Vietnam, the Embassy of India in association with Vinh Phuc Province organized the #IDY2022 celebrations on 18 June 2022 at Vinh Yen City. Around 1000 Yoga practitioners including 40 Yoga clubs of Vin Phuc province participated in the event with great enthusiasm. After Common Yoga Protocol, a dozen of yoga clubs demonstrated their group yoga performances.

Là một phần trong chuỗi các sự kiện kỷ niệm Ngày Quốc tế Yoga #InternationalDayOfYoga tại Việt Nam, Đại sứ quán Ấn Độ phối hợp với tỉnh Vĩnh Phúc tổ chức sự kiện #IDY2022 vào ngày 18 tháng 6 năm 2022 tại thành phố Vĩnh Yên. Khoảng 1000 người tập Yoga bao gồm hơn 40 câu lạc bộ Yoga của tỉnh Vĩnh Phúc đã nhiệt tình tham dự sự kiện này. International Day of Yoga 2022 at Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province (19 June 2022)

Ambassador Pranay Verma joined the local dignitaries to celebrate the International Day of Yoga at Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa province on 19 June 2022. On this occasion, Ambassador also addressed a seminar on spiritual tourism between India and Vietnam organized by the Consulate General of India, HCMC and the Provincial People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa.

The Embassy is partnering with 25 cities/provinces of Vietnam to celebrate #IDY2022, as Yoga becomes a strong bond for people-to-people exchanges between our two countries.

International Day of Yoga 2022 at UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay (21 June 2022)

The Embassy of India in Hanoi in partnership with Quang Ninh province celebrated the #InternationalDayofYoga on 21 June 2022 at Vietnam's iconic UNESCO World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. The event was telecast live by India’s national broadcaster, Doordarshan, as part of its Global Yoga Ring or Guardian Ring for Yoga initiative.

In his remarks at the celebration, Ambassador Pranay Verma highlighted India’s close cooperation with Vietnam in celebrating the International Day of Yoga and making Yoga an important pillar of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. This year, the International Day of Yoga is themed “Yoga for Humanity” and is being celebrated by the Embassy and the Consulate General of India in 25 cities/provinces of Vietnam in partnership with the local authorities.

International Day of Yoga 2022 at Fansipan and Sa Pa, Lao Cai Province (24 June 2022)
 
Our #InternationalDayofYoga celebrations of 2022 reached Fansipan, the highest location of Vietnam. The Embassy of India in partnership with Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee organized the #IDY2022 Yoga sessions at the picturesque peak and the base of this iconic mountain on 24 June 2022. The celebrations also included a colourful cultural programme themed on Yoga, which was organized at Sa Pa Town on 23 June and attended by Ambassador Pranay Verma and the Chairman of Lao Cai Province H.E. Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong.

International Day of Yoga 2022 at Thua Thien Hue Province (26 June 2022)
 
 
The Embassy of India in partnership with Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee organized the #IDY2022 Yoga sessions at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Nghinh Luong Dinh Square, a part of the complex of Hue Monuments on 26 June 2022. The event was attended by 600-700 Yoga practitioners and lovers.

International Day of Yoga 2022 at My Son World Heritage Site (30 June 2022)
 
The Embassy of India concluded the #IDY2022 celebrations in Vietnam with a finale at yet another iconic location - the My Son UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ambassador Pranay Verma was joined by the Vice Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan at a Yoga session on 30 June 2022 in front of the ‘A’ Block temple complex at My Son, which is being restored by the Archaeological Survey of India. The event showcased India-Vietnam cultural linkages both through #Yoga and the shared heritage of the My Son complex.

Đại sứ Pranay Verma cùng Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Quảng Nam, ông Trần Anh Tuấn, đã góp mặt tại buổi đồng diễn Yoga trước nhóm đền tháp A tại Mỹ Sơn, được phục hồi bởi Cơ quan Khảo cổ học Ấn Độ.
