The Embassy of India in collaboration with the Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Vietnam Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises (VAFIE) and Vietnam Association of Automotive Manufacturers (VAMA) organized an India-Vietnam Business Meet on Auto Sector on 22 August 2022 in Hanoi. 

In his keynote address, Ambassador Pranay Verma highlighted the strengths of India’s auto and auto-component industry and India's investment friendly policies, particularly in the electric vehicle sector. He encouraged Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of India to build partnerships with Vietnamese enterprises and enhance their presence in Vietnam’s auto sector. 

The Business Meet was also addressed by officials from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Industry and Trade, VCCI and representatives from Nghe An and Thanh Hoa Provincial authorities. Over a hundred representatives from Vietnamese auto industry attended the B2B interaction after the Meet.
