India@75: Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2022

The Embassy of India celebrated the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas on 9 January 2022 with the participation of the Indian community members in Vietnam. In his remarks, Ambassador Pranay Verma appreciated the role of the Indian diaspora in promoting India-Vietnam relations and thanked the Indian community members for their active participation in celebrations for #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav. He also briefed them on various activities being organized by the Embassy this year to celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav and the 50th anniversary of India-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations.
A presentation was made on various initiative recently launched by the Government of India to facilitate closer engagement with the Indian diaspora and their welfare. Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (INCHAM) in Hanoi, Shri Harish Taparia also delivered his remarks. The event included an interactive session with the community members.
After the event, participants were invited to join the online screening of the Youth PBD Conference on Innovation and New Technologies hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs the same day.
