On the occasion of the 77th ICCR Foundation Day (09 April 1950 – 09 April 2026), the Embassy of India in Hanoi hosted a warm and meaningful celebration bringing together a large gathering of Vietnamese ICCR alumni and friends of Indian culture. Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Bastian N. Chacko addressed the gathering highlighting ICCR’s enduring role in strengthening India-Vietnam ties through cultural exchange, education, and academic collaboration, with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) in Hanoi serving as a vibrant platform. The evening featured a photo collage honoring ICCR alumni in Vietnam and their valuable contributions, alongside heartfelt sharing by distinguished alumni Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thục Hạnh and Ms. Phạm Lê Minh. Inspiring messages were also conveyed through videos from prominent figures, including Mr. Nguyễn Trùng Khánh, Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Associate Professor Dr. Đặng Thị Thu Hương, (Vice Rector) University of Social Sciences and Humanity (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Venerable Thích Nhật Từ. Video of a current Hindi student, Ms. Hoàng Hương Quỳnh was also featured. Cultural performances of Indian dance and music added color and energy to the event, while the highlight was the lively interaction among alumni. The open stage that followed created a space for guests to reconnect, share experiences, and celebrate their love for Indian culture. A graceful evening celebrating friendship, cultural connection, and shared memories between India and Vietnam.
