Ambassador visits Vietnam Buddhist Sangha

On 5th August, 2019, Ambassador Verma visited Quan Su Pagoda and met with Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice President and Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice President and General Secretary of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha , underlining the strong bonds of shared Buddhist heritage between India and Vietnam.
On the same day, Ambassador also paid a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda, which is home to the Bodhi Tree which was planted sixty years ago jointly by President Dr. Rajendra Prasad and President Ho Chi Minh in 1959.
