Ambassador Pranay Verma visited the Vietnam Department of Peace Keeping Operations (VNDPKO) under the Ministry of National Defence of Vietnam on 22 January, where he was received by VNDPKO’s Director, Maj. Gen. Hoàng Kim Phung. Ambassador received a briefing from VNDPKO officials on Vietnam’s UN Peacekeeping activities. Both sides discussed specific collaborative activities between India and Vietnam in 2020. The two countries have active cooperation in the area of peacekeeping with regular joint exercises and capacity building programmes.
