Ambassador met the new President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), Dr. Bui Nhat Quang on 2 March 2020 and discussed potential areas of bilateral exchanges in 2020. Ambasssdor spoke highly of the role being played by VASS as the premier thinktank of Vietnam in promoting academic and scholarly interactions with India and deepening mutual understanding between the two countries. The Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies under VASS is one of the key institutions in Vietnam focused on Indian studies.
