  On 27 June, 2020, Ambassador Pranay Verma and the Provincial Party Secretary of Phu Yen province H.E. Mr. Huynh Tan Viet jointly inaugurated an overpass bridge at Tan Long Village, Xuan Son Nam commune, Dong Xuan District of Phu Yen, constructed with Government of India’s grant assistance of US$50,000 under the Quick Impact Project (QIP) programme. The project was completed within a short span of three months and is helping to connect the two communes of Xuan Son Bac and Xuan Son Nam of Dong Xuan District, which were earlier regularly disconnected during the rainy season. - July 06, 2020

  Ambassador met the Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City and Member of the Politburo of Communist Party of Vietnam, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan on 29 June at HCM City. They discussed prospects for closer cooperation in a number of areas, including trade and investment, high-technology, tourism promotion and people-to-people ties. Party Secretary Nhan warmly recalled his past visits to India and noted the high importance he attached to promoting relations with India. Ambassador thanked the Party Secretary for his strong support to India-Vietnam relations and for all the facilitations extended to the Consulate General of India in HCM City. - July 06, 2020

  Another special repatriation flight of Air India under #VandeBharatMission took off from Ho Chi Minh City at 1610 hrs on 29 June carrying 143 Indian nationals stranded in Vietnam en route Chennai and Kochi.
