Visa Application

• Select Vietnam-Hanoi for applying from Hanoi.
• Visa applications are accepted on all working days from 0930 - 1230 hrs.
• Online appointment with the Embassy is a must. Follow link https://www.indembassyhanoi.gov.in/appointment.php?apttype=Submission to book your online appointment in advance.
• Non-Vietnamese Citizens applying for Business visas from Vietnam need work permit/ Residence permit for 2 years. Processing time is 4 to 5 working days.
• Required documents applicable to all types of Regular visas:

• Visa Application form (regular) printed from https://indianvisaonline.gov.in  – photo upload is required);
• 01 physical photo (5x5cm, white background, no line no shadow, straight face to the camera);
• Original passport (signed) + photocopy of Passport information page;
• Photocopy of national ID card (if Vietnamese) and temporary residence card + work permit (if foreigners);
• Photocopy of Vietnamese visa page and immigration stamp on passport (if foreigners);
• Photocopy of air and hotel bookings (if any);
• Undertaking forms (general undertaking, satellite, minor traveling with parents, student, journalist).
• Note: Applicants are required to visit in person at Visa section to have their Biometrics registered. Following the visa-interview the Embassy of India could at its discretion request further documentation from the applicant (business, employment, etc.)

Option 1: Regular Visa

• TOURIST:

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy his/her bank statement in 3 months or any other financial proofs.

• BUSINESS:

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy:

• INDIA company: Invitation letter + Incorporation Certificate;
• VIETNAM company: Decision letter + Certificate of Business Registration - all written in or translated to ENGLISH;
• Bank statement in the last 3 months;
• Foreigners with 2 years of continuous staying and working in Vietnam prior to application date are eligible to apply;
  
  
• CONFERENCE:

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy:

• Invitation letter from India & Decision letter from your Vietnam;
• Air and hotel bookings (copy);
• List of the event’s participants and Political clearance documents from relevant ministries (Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, etc.);
  
  
• STUDENT:

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy:

• Letter of confirmed admission from University/ College/ Institution in India;
• Fee structure (University/ College/ Institution in India);
• Photocopy of Birth Certificate, Educational Certificates and Academic Transcripts;
• Program details (duration, purpose, etc.)
• Evidence of financial support from parents/ guardians to meet various expenses in India (excluding scholarship offer).
  
  
• ENTRY:

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy:

• Invitation letter from India & Decision letter from your Vietnam;
• Sport/Special events: List of the event’s participants and Political clearance documents from relevant ministries (e.g. Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports); 
• If married to Indian national: copy of Marriage Certificate, copy of your spouse’s passports.
  
  
• TRANSIT:

If seaman, in addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy:

• Letters (India, Vietnam companies);
• Original and photocopy of seaman’s book;
• Copy of labour contract;
• Photocopy of flight ticket.
• Note: the Embassy may require business registration certificates from both Indian and Vietnamese companies. Please have all documents translated into English (and notarized) if they are written in another language.
  
  
• EMPLOYMENT:

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, applicant needs to submit to the Embassy:

• Complete CV (Resumé);
• Employment offer letter stating terms and conditions of the employment (including salary offered): your GROSS salary should be no less than 16.25 lakhs per annum;
• Copy of the registration certificate of the Indian company;
• An undertaking from the Indian company that they are unable to hire suitable and qualified person locally;
• An undertaking from the Indian company taking responsibility of the conduct of the employees and also to be responsible for the employee for abiding by the Indian laws;
• If intra-company transfer, please submit along with your visa application both letters from your Vietnamese and Indian company specifying the purpose of transferring employees from one to another of the same mother company;
• Copies of your Educational certificates and experience certificates;
• A statement from the company showing the numbers of Foreign employees and Indian employees working in the company and salaries being paid to them;

Visa Category – Film Visa (Multiple Entry with 1 year Validity)

Film Visa will be issued to cast and crew members of international productions and official coproductions shooting a Feature Film, TV / Web commercial show / series and TV /Web Reality show / series. The permission for shooting these categories of production is granted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoI&B), Government of India. The proposals are accepted and process by the Film Facilitation Office (FFO). The application is to be submitted online on www.ffo.gov.in. After the shooting permission has been granted by the MoI&B, the cast and crew members of the approved project are required to apply for Film Visa.

Option 2: eVisa - Enabled with Electronic Travel Authorisation (TV - ETA)

• To avail e-Tourist Visa facility for Vietnam nationals, please log on to (http://indianvisaonline.gov.in) and click on the Tab/Heading “For eVisa by Bureau of Immigration". It's a four-step process involving (i) Application online, (ii) Payment of processing fee online (iii) Receive Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) at your email ID and (iv) Fly to India with Passport and ETA.
• e-Visa has 5 sub-categories viz. e-Tourist Visa(for 30 days/01 year/ 05 years) ,e-Business Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Medical Attendant Visa and e-Conference Visa.
