VOV1 - Within the framework of the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2025 opening on the morning of April 10 in Hanoi, the Indian Tourism Pavilion is introducing the image of "Incredible India" to tourism agencies, businesses and Vietnamese people.
 
Attending the Indian Tourism Pavilion were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu and the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam. Here, teachers and students of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center performed special traditional Indian music and dance performances.

Tourism between India and Vietnam has seen positive growth in recent years. According to data, India is the 8th largest tourist market to Vietnam, with about 500,000 arrivals in 2024. An estimated 55,000 Vietnamese tourists visited India last year, a significant increase from the previous year.

VITM 2025 is organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, taking place from April 10 to 13, 2025. Besides India, the event will also have the participation of many other countries and territories. In addition to cultural performances, India will also introduce documents, videos and digital information to tourists, businesses, travel agencies and media agencies in Vietnam.

The Indian pavilion attracted a large number of visitors on the first day of the fair, demonstrating the interest of Vietnamese people in India, tourism trends and opportunities for tourism from Vietnam to India. Many Indian travel companies are also present at VITM 2025 and are actively connecting with Vietnamese partners to promote bilateral tourism.

In order to exploit the huge and growing potential of the Vietnamese tourism market to India, the Embassy and relevant agencies of India have recently organized field trips for Vietnamese travel businesses to many tourist destinations in India. The Embassy is also promoting tourism opportunities in India through meetings with Vietnamese travel companies and promotional materials in Vietnamese, in electronic and digital media.

Direct flights between seven Indian cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad) and three Vietnamese cities (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang) also contribute to facilitating bilateral tourism. Vietnamese travel companies are increasingly offering more tour packages to India, including new and lesser-known destinations./
