Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India is planning to migrate from Global Passport Seva Version 1.0 to the Global Passport Seva Version 2.0.
In this regard, it is hereby advised that with effect from 1st September 2025, all passport applicants (Indian Nationals) must:
- Upload an ICAO-compliant photograph (mandatory),
Or Share soft copy of ICAO compliant photograph with mission/OSP (mandatory)
- Upload a scanned copy of their signature, and
- Upload all other relevant documents on their own.
The date of migration to the new portal will be on 3rd September 2025.”
